‘See Deeply’: the first of the ten principles of the Foundationist Society

John 9: 25 – The King James Bible

As I’ve previously written on these pages (see the following)

Carbon Mike was interviewed by my friend Danny Doran on his Infinite Jigsaw podcast in a series of ten pieces about the principles of the Foundationist Society that Mike founded. In view of his recent unjust incarceration, we as Mike’s friends have decided that the world needs to know more about those principles. When I first heard them, my view was not just that they were compatible with Christianity, but that actually they could be used to help to understand Christian values better, using different terms.

Danny has done an excellent job of summarising his long interviews and this is the first one: ‘See Deeply.’ It immediately makes me think of the story of the healing of the blind man in John 9; whatever your view about the healing of someone born blind, we cannot but help see the analogy that Mike uses in the following short clip, to explain what the implications would be of not ‘seeing deeply.’

This section of the longer interview with Danny can be found here:

These interviews allow us to hear Carbon Mike’s amazing voice, explaining his own thoughts. I hope you will enjoy this shorter version, it’s only 6 minutes long:

The rest of these fascinating interviews will be released slowly over the coming months. I would encourage you to share them as widely as you can.

Heavenly Father, help us to look at the world and seek to see things more deeply. And we thank you for opening our eyes. Amen
