“What we long for is that God will give his love to the world through us.” Guest post by the Revd Humphrey Prideaux

I first met Humphrey in 2010. We meet periodically and always end up discussing theology. He is now 86 and his deep and loyal faith over 60 years as a priest shine through him. I always find our meetings inspirational. I think this comes through in what follows, which sums up what should be our hopes for the New Year

If you’re feeling pessimistic, try Christmas!

This is the first almost normal Christmas that we’ve had in three years. It’s therefore, more than ever, a suitable time for us to think about what Christmas means, or should mean. If you think I’ve left anything out, please do add a comment! And can I take this opportunity of wishing all my readers a joyful Christmas season and healthy 2023!
